Phone (1) and Phone (2) Upgrade Offer

Rohit · 2025-09-15T09:01:25+00:00

Hey Community, Three years ago, Phone (1) marked the start of our journey into smartphones. It was not just our first device, it was a statement of intent. And none of it would have been possible without the belief of our earliest users. As promised, we have delivered three years of major software updates for Phone (1). With the upcoming launch of Nothing OS 4.0, the device has now reached the end of its software lifecycle. Phone (1) will not be upgraded to NOS 4.0 or Android 16, but will continue receiving security updates until 2026. Here’s what Carl said: Phone (1) and Phone (2) gave us our start in smartphones and shaped the foundation of Nothing. With Phone (3) and the (3a) Series, we added the Essential Key, a hardware feature that unlocks AI native experiences like Essential Space. It sets the stage for where we are headed. We know this moment is bittersweet, which is why we are introducing an exclusive upgrade offer for Phone (1) and Phone (2) users. A way to step into the next era of Nothing, powered by AI, with Phone (3) at its core. Here’s the offer Exclusive pricing for Phone (1) and (2) users to upgrade to Phone (3). For users who have already bought Phone (3), they will get credit for a future Nothing purchase. Please contact Nothing Support. Exact prices vary by region. IMEI verification will be required to access your discount code via nothing.tech or local retail partners. Offer valid for a limited time period only. 👉 Head to our website now.

Does the discount only work with Phone 3 or also 3a?

Rohit This is just sad for the users who have purchased the phone 3 at full price or even exchanged the phone 1 or 2 and still didn’t got that special price. I was one of the early guys that pre ordered phone 3 on the day of its announcement and exchanged mine phone 1 with it. I got the deal at around 50k INR via Flipkart. But now I regret it since same deal will get a new consumer phone 3 at 35k INR.

You guys should consider all of the consumer base not only the ones around festival offers or could have launched the phone at a lower price.

This is just disheartening for the ones who ordered the phone at early stages. 😞

I think you don’t need to send it back in

Does somebody know if I can use the discount for something else?

I was about to take advantage of the offer since I’m an OG Phone (1) user, but you guys upped the prices for both models back to their MSRPs which added an average of 100 euro to the total.

Lame move. Either do it properly, or don’t do it at all… Now the deal sounds way less enticing 🙂)

Seems like the link for Japan is redirecting to a 404 page. Or is Japan out of the offer? 😕

I just caved in and ordered one for the £499 UK with no trade in required, just my NP3 IMEI.

I figured at that price if I don’t like it, I’ll get my money back for sure, but let’s hope I like it… and part of my decision was to keep supporting Nothing…. With that deal offered, I feel like they are actually taking care of their previous customers…

Let’s go! 🙂

Rohit what if I purchase the phone (3) on the nothing store on Amazon?

JDLC

SteveB_EPidP9Io4A

Pyrodox yeah, I completely agree 👊

bishdoesnothing

bishdoesnothing

jms-yoshi we’re now live in JP

chenenpei93

bishdoesnothing How about the Hong Kong market? Could you share more details?

Musicchannel

Nothing is exclusively working with HK retailer - CSL. But there is no info we could find on CSL store page, It doesn’t redirect to the promotion page on CSL as well.

I have asked CSL CS team and Stores, they literally know nothing about it. They said the promotion is invalid 😕

Anyone from Hong Kong getting the updates / info regarding the phone upgrade promotion? 😭💦💦💦

I bought nothing phone 3 by paying 80000 rupees and pre-booking it.. I have used nothing phone 2a, 3a, and phone 2.. I bought your new phone 3 because of that one wish.. And now the rate is 34999 on Big Billion Days.. What a pity.. Am I stupid for buying it by paying 80000 rupees? Therefore, I am going to file a complaint in the consumer court.. I need to get clarification from the nothing company.. Otherwise, we can proceed with the case.. Thanks team nothing
