Agreed, it’s not upto the potential. In keeping the UI minimalistic they have skipped on a lot of features, honestly feels like other UIs are miles ahead in terms of customization and accessibility.

But I’m a bit disappointed with the update, this update is till now not huge. Extra dark mode only for settings… Really? And 2 clock faces…

What’s nice is the multi tasking and the app optimisation but the rest is essential space related which is nice but not available for all old customers which is sad

Guys im just wondering, since nothing os 4 is based on android 16 and Android 16 have desktop capabilities….does nothing os 4 currently have desktop mode….can someone check them out and see…i dont have hdmi to type c with me rn

No USB 3.0 or higher = no desktop mode.

All Nothing phones are stuck 25 years ago with USB 2.0.

Anonymous931 The point of it is to use it in desktop mode, with external displays, as a unified experience on all devices (so not just Samsung DeX and similar implementations).

Jovey Would’ve been great to have it here too IMHO.

Won’t happen because Nothing took the scummy route and chose to save about $0.00 (yes, zero) and opt for USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.0 or better.

Plus many more, I’m too lazy to search because search here is dysfunctional. But yeah, if you point out some good and positive things, or if you dare to think logically about the situation and not rush with conclusions, then it’s ⚠️⚠️⚠️ YoU aRe DeFeNdInG tHeM ⚠️⚠️⚠️ for sure.

If one is not chronically negative about everything in a phone then they surely must love everything about it. It’s all binary in your world, 1 or 0, white or black, nothing else. Boring…

The only thing they are good at is publishing pointless videos and just the hype train the overall OS is just underwhelming who applies dark mode only on settings app? And there’s still no haptics on volume sliders how does a visual impaired person can see it and yes if any nothing fan boy gonna reply to this .who uses phone’s if they are visually impaired? YES THEY F DO ! MY FAMILY DOES IT AND I KNOW MANY PEOPLE WHO DEPEND ON HAPTICS TO KNOW FEW THINGS !! very disappointing update..it’s not even a major update at this point cause there’s no desktop mode yet .

Arbaaz_rRhvxSXQI3 Why even bother to comment about that until there is no final NOS 4? Beta can go 180, it can stay identical as it is, who knows… Software can be changed. But what we know is that hardware can’t be changed, so no USB 3.0+ in Nothing phones means no desktop mode.

Anonymous931 cause it’s not apple or samsung who actually runs tons of beta tests and changes and implement things .. this is NOTHING arrogant child who never wants to implement useful things rather adding playground and idk what else just to look different ..which only 2 3 beta in mind like last year one for 3a series and maybe one more and that’s it ! . and yeah the desktop mode needs 3.0 … so we are ages behind that .. at this point.. you guys are just defending them .. and I will comment ?
