• ULTRAWIDE - 8MP | f/2.2 | 15mm | ¼.0″ | EIS | (GalaxyCore GC08A8) | 1080p30FPS |

📸 MAIN CAMERA (1x) :
In daylight, one thing I really liked about the main camera is the color science. Many budget phones make photos too punchy and overly vibrant. But here, the colors are natural and balanced, with no unnecessary oversaturation of green, red, or blue, keeping the overall tone natural and true to life. The dynamic range is also impressive, highlights and shadows are controlled and retain a good amount of details, and you can see both clouds and darker areas clearly without losing information. In human shots, skin tones also look natural. Faces don’t appear too warm or reddish, and overall processing feels balanced.

In indoor lighting, artificial light control is good, it manages to retain the correct white balance. When zooming into the photos, they have sufficient details. In lowlight images, noise control is good, there’s minimal to no noise in most scenarios, but occasionally I found it creates flower petals type flares around the street lights, but considering the price I can’t complain much. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the main camera.

📸 UltraWide Camera (0.6x) :
The ultra-wide camera is 8MP and under 15k I don’t think there’s any other phone offering an ultra-wide cam as every brand is stuck on the 50+2MP setup, which is common in this price segment.
In daylight, it captures decent images, with saturated colors compared to the main camera, and an average dynamic range with limited control on highlights and shadows. There are some issues, like most of the time the bright areas in the sky (especially around the sun) often get overexposed. The edges of photos sometimes look soft and have a hazy glow effect, especially near the sides, but the center remains sharp with good details. When capturing human subjects under direct sunlight, skin tones sometimes appear orangish, and clothes colors and textures look faded.

In indoor lighting conditions, the artificial light control is good, it retains correct white balance, noise levels are minimal and images retain decent details. In lowlight, image quality drops noticeably. Photos often appear dark and soft and limited details in shadow areas. In extreme lowlight, it produces a lot of flares around street lights occasionally with a vignette effect around the edges .Overall, the image quality from this sensor is below average, but at least you are getting an ultra-wide cam, which is rare in this price range. Still, in good daylight, you can manage to get some nice wide shots.

📸 Telephoto Camera (2x) :
The 2X telephoto camera is the most impressive part of this phone. In daylight, colors remain natural, exposure is controlled and details are sharp. The dynamic range is also impressive, highlights and shadows are well managed. For human subjects and close-ups, the results are impressive, skin tones and facial textures are well maintained. Photos have a great looking natural depth effect because of the large aperture opening (f/1.9). For non human subjects also, the results are fantastic, photos are sharp and detailed.

In indoor lighting and lowlight conditions, artificial light control is good. It does create flares around street lights occasionally, though not as much as the ultra-wide. Human shots retain good detail indoors, which is quite surprising considering it’s an under 15k phone. In lowlight, human faces look a bit soft, but again, can’t complain much keeping the price in mind. However, I noticed one strange thing with this sensor: sometimes while capturing images, it automatically switches to the main (1x) camera and digitally crops to make it 2x. I also faced some focus hunting issues at times, especially when it struggles to focus on close-up shots. But overall, I’d say the telephoto is the highlight of this phone.

📸 Portrait Mode :
Portrait mode is again something I’m really impressed with. You get multiple zoom options (1x, 2x, 3x, 4x), for framing portrait shots. Edge detection is strong considering the price point. Yes, sometimes it struggles around the hairs that aren’t perfectly detected, but for ₹15-16k it’s way better than other phones in the same range. Photos look natural with a proper shallow depth effect, not like cheap artificial blur. 3x and 4x are digital crop, but I’m surprised to see great results with no oversharpening or major loss of details.

🤳🏽 Selfie Camera (16MP) :
In daylight, it maintains good exposure and natural-looking colors. Skin tones look natural, and facial textures are well maintained. Portrait selfies also have good edge detection, though sometimes it struggles around the hair area. Indoors, the selfies are decent, and in low-light conditions, you still get usable results. Faces appear slightly smoothed, noise is visible and textures of hair and beard are also softened, but using the screen flash improves the quality slightly. Overall, I have no major complaints.

Now, let’s talk about video.
🎥📷 Main Camera (1x):
Shoots up to 4K at 30fps. Daylight videos have good dynamic range, natural colors and good stabilization, though sometimes jerks can be noticed while walking. Exposure and color temperature are well handled with no sudden shifts and auto focus speed is also fast. Low-light performance is good with well-managed artificial light, minimal noise and good shadow details.
🎥📷 UltraWide Camera (0.6x) :
Limited to 1080p at 30fps and it’s fixed focus. In daylight, bright parts of the sky get extremely overexposed, and exposure shifting is noticeable. However, stabilization is good. In low light, noise can be easily seen in the footage, there’s decent control over artificial lights, and the overall video looks a bit soft, but still the outputs are usable.
🎥📷 Telephoto Camera (2x) :
Again supports 4K at 30fps. In daylight, the colors are very natural and exposure transitions smoothly without sudden jumps. Dynamic range and highlights control are good. Stabilization is average and autofocus speed is good. In low-light videos are usable, though noise is present.
🤳🏽🎥 Selfie Video (Front) :
Limited to 1080p at 30fps. In daylight, the colors are natural and facial details and textures are well maintained. Stabilization is also impressive. However, highlight control could be better, as bright areas often get overexposed, whether it’s the open sky or indoor artificial light. In low light, the videos look a bit soft and noise is present.
✅ Pros :
• Versatile triple-camera setup.
• 4K 30fps video recording on main and telephoto lenses.
• Natural color reproduction and good dynamic range in daylight.
• Good video stabilization.
• Portrait mode delivers natural depth effect with good edge detection.
❌ Cons :
• Limited low-light performance with noticeable noise.
• Ultra-wide lens exhibits overexposure and softness.
• No optical image stabilization (OIS).
• Occasional focus hunting in close-up shots.
Final Verdict 🏳️ :

The CMF Phone 2 Pro packs a capable versatile camera setup, which is rare in this price, a 50MP main, 50MP telephoto, and 8MP ultra-wide lens.To be honest, I can say that at a price range of ₹15-16k, this is the best camera phone you can get. And the Flipkart BBD Sale is just around the corner, you can grab it for as low as ₹14,249 with Flipkart Axis and SBI, or ₹14,999 with SBI and Kotak. Perfect time to snap one up !
