Nothing Ear (a) battery draining issue

Hi everyone, I’ve been using the Nothing Ear (a) since I bought them in June 2024, and only recently (around late July 2025) I started noticing some battery problems. Both earbuds only last about an hour now. The left earbud drains much faster than the right one. They also don’t charge to 100% — when I take them out of the fully charged case, they usually start at around 85%. I reached out to the Nothing service center here in Malaysia, but they only cover devices still under warranty, so they decline to fix my nothing ear a. I reached out to Nothing Support on X, and say that they have forwarded the case to relevant team but since then they completely ignore my message to them. Do nothing devices only last a year? Consider I bought the ear a at launch at full price and it only last a year and nothing decline to solve the issue.

These same ANC problem is also present in there older generation buds like CMF buds.

I hope they fix it by giving hot fix update.

I used a capacity tester, and its less than 30% on mine.
It’s either the charging profile/tolerances is bad damaging the battery or battery quality.

Same here guys! I have similar issues. Visited the Nothing Service Centre and Contacted the Customer Support but didn’t helped. Feeling very sad and helpless. Hard earned money wasted in a faulty and defective product by Nothing.

No idea who that is (I’m terrible with celebrities), but yeah, it’s always funny seeing people use their phones like that, directing their speech straight into the bottom. It’s like they don’t know how phones function, hahah, it’s so silly and it always cracks me up 😁

I would like to request Nothing Technology that it is a major issue regarding the Battery Draining Malfunctioning in Ear(a). We have purchased this earbuds at premium prices and it has become useless. Please highlight this issue with Nothing and do something for us. Arrange some beneficial program for the replacement or vouchers so that we can use it to purchase some other Nothing audio products.

Experienced the same , i feel it has happened after the latest fraimware update or maybe nothing X app fault. I did not see the charging message in the app when i put them in the case. I have used it less that 6 month and i think the nothing team don’t wanna support us
