What is the intended way to use Essential Space?

I view it as a space to dump information for the AI to organise and look up later, but there is no search bar.

It takes screenshots as the primary info, and you can’t upload documents or type text to input information unless it’s attached with the screenshot. You can’t talk to essential to ask it questions on the data you’ve entered. And it doesn’t connect with your other services like Gemini does so it can’t use the information you’ve entered with your data on your calendar or emails to give you even better help.

Aside from essential recorder, is it just a tool to organise screenshots and nothing else?

few of the things u mentioned, arent there, few of those are present: u can type text or voice input if u are on home screen and press the button, it will not take a screenshot; matter of fact if u ask it to remind something, it does add it to your google cal. But its definetly far from perfect, and is still being developed.

kohese You don’t have to be on homescreen to add note without a screenshot. After pushing the button, you can just tap the screenshot itself and it’ll become unselected (yellow frame will disappear).

Also after recent app update you can make notes from clipboard text.
