I bought the watch very interested in GPT but when I tried to use it it says to speak but it doesn’t work, it only does if I unlock the phone and also on the phone GPT answers, the goal is to avoid having to take out the phone and just use it on the wrist. Same - I really thought the idea was to be able to interact solely through the watch, without needing the phone to hand and unlocked.

Same issue with Assistant option set for the crown - opens Google Assistant on phone but doesn't play the answer on watch, only phone.
