BenedictRafael You’ve been on the Nothing train for five months, yet I’ve been waiting seven months for a fix to a critical security flaw: the missing Scoped Storage for Essential Space. I’ve filed feedback, posted, and emailed, only to get the vague promise that it’s ‘in the pipeline’ with no ETA.
This is a technical, privacy-violating issue that needs urgent attention. Now, consider your requests. Asking for watch colors, sidebars, or lock screen customizations isn’t asking for a fix… you’re asking them to abandon their core design philosophy. They deliberately made Nothing OS ‘boring’ with monochrome icons and minimalist UI. They want you to use the phone as a tool, not a toy to constantly admire. They are actively trying not to copy the colorful UIs of every other brand. You can argue for these aesthetic changes all you want in the community, but they won’t change a fundamental part of their brand identity.
Did they send you an official email confirming they’d implement a sidebar? No. If your request isn’t about fixing a technical bug or mandated security standard (like Scoped Storage - that itself isn’t fixed for months and it’s in their pipeline for months), you’re wasting your energy. The hard truth is that if you need those features, you simply chose the wrong phone.
