After updating to Nothing OS 4.0 on my Nothing Phone (2), I’ve noticed two major performance issues:
1. Volume control lag – The volume slider takes a second or two to appear and responds slowly when increasing or decreasing volume.
2. Essential/App search lag – When using the app drawer or the Essentials search bar, there’s a visible delay before results appear or animations respond.
Both these issues make the UI feel less smooth compared to earlier versions. I’ve already tried restarting the phone, clearing the System UI cache, and disabling adaptive volume — but the lag still continues.
Please optimize these areas in the next beta or hotfix update (4.0.1 / Open Beta 2). The Nothing OS experience is usually very fluid, and fixing these delays would really improve the overall performance.
