What if the Essential button could do this in the next update, like OnePlus?

What if our Essential button could do something like this too? Just like OnePlus’s Plus Key, we could quickly access Torch, Do Not Disturb, Camera, Recorder, or even Save to Mind Space with a single press, without having to go through menus. It would make using the phone much faster and more convenient—definitely a feature I’d love to see in the next update

Abhiram_N That’s not an OnePlus inspiration, people have been asking for simple remapping of the Essential Key all the way back when Phone (3a) was released, which introduced that key. However Nothing so far insists of keeping it strictly mapped to Essential Space.

You aren’t the first one asking for this, so far Nothing isn’t willing to change their stance on this topic. The best you could do is letting them know of your disappointment and provide feedback via your phone:

Settings -> search for feedback -> tap Feedback System. There you can find the official feedback form which is actually read by the team.
