Just noticed this change on essential space

So in my previous post, I mentioned that I was getting signed out of essential space every single day.

Well yesterday, I got signed our of nothing account (in settings) (GREAT !!!)

Well I just accepted this and just now logged back on both the settings and essential space. For those who don’t know, ES don’t work when you are not logged in. So to check if everything was back to normal, i sent an image of lexus es 300h into memory, and double tapped the side button to go to ES.

BOOM ! when I entered ES, it was already summarised. Before, this was not possible; I had to painfully wait for the yellow summarizing circle to rotate, while being on the app, which was pretty frustrating.

I also tested some other things like taking ss of a yt comment, and also setting reminder of a test etc. It all immediately got summarised with no delay at all. THIS IS EPICCCCCC

NOW, I don’t know if it was always like this for y’all, but it was definitely NOT for me.

Note : I am on latest ES release and did not update at all.

krizxjr it might take some time but it definitely summarises. Depends on your network speed too.

Anyways it’s an amazing feature. To be honest - I use it very often. Essential recorder in the quick tile helps alot in my meetings.

I record my whole meeting and it just summarises and It saves alot of time for MOM emails.

I’ve now found I can record notes to myself using the Key whilst offline, which I’m really happy about. Don’t know if that was a change their end or I previously had it set up wrong. Whatever the case, fantastic news!

Quick question that the community may be able to help with:

Whilst offline, when I press & hold the Key and speak into my Nothing phone I find a screenshot saved to my Space but not a transcript. If I press the Key, select the microphone icon and record my voice message I get a transcript but no screenshot, which is what I want. Is it because ‘press & hold’ activates the online AI summary feature which requires an internet connection? If so, is there a way of switching off that feature and having the transcribe ONLY feature assigned to ‘press & hold’ instead? I’ve no interest in having my data (my transcripts and screenshots from my device) shared with third-parties, and it would be so much easier to only have to hold the Key to record myself a quick note for transcribing.
