The CMF Watch 3 Pro is without a doubt, a very elegant looking watch. Or it is in my opinion at least. But looks aren’t everything. How does it function? Well as a beginner in the fitness world, I’d love to talk about it.
I have good news, and bad news. Let’s start with the bad and end on a good note, shall we?
My experience with one function has been mixed. Which function exactly? The calorie counting feature. I can workout and be told that I burned 2-3 calories during a brisk walking session. It likely to be addressed by Nothing in a future update. That gives me hope. But the other features work otherwise.
The battery life was give or take as well. I use it heavily with all major health features enabled. (Detailed sleep tracking, spo2, 3-5 minute heart rate tracking, standing reminders, etc.) This made the battery life decent. But I don’t fault the watch completely.
There’s also no way to leave a workout in progress to check notifications, set alarms, etc. This was something that was strange coming from other devices. I reported it to the team and they said they’ll look into it. The same goes for timers, if you leave it’ll cancel it too. They’ve told me they’ll check on that too.

The watch is also missing NFC for mobile payments. This doesn’t bother me, but it may be something that changes your mind.
Onto the good!
Workout detection was easily a feature I enabled for a better approach to my walls especially. As I can forget to enable it entirely by the time my feet hit the pavement. This can be done for a multitude of modes, like running, cycling, etc. I recommend using it if you’re open to jumping into something without much thought. (I’m also impulsive, don’t judge me lol)
The next feature I used was the voice recording and transcription feature. I found them nice for a quick recording of my thoughts when I know that my phone would distract me. There are two models available for use as well. The faster model, which will transcribe your recording much faster. Then there’s my favorite, the accurate model. I can use it to make sure I get accurate information. I didn’t have a long time to play with this feature, but I loved it regardless.
The OS is simple and easy to use. Everything is laid out in a way that makes sense. I don’t see any fluff present, but I’d love to see a full wear OS watch one day. This is more of me hoping, rather than dissing the watch. I enjoyed my time with it. (Haha, get it, time? Because it’s a wat- nevermind)

The TL;DR is that the watch offers nice features for the price. However, it isn’t perfect and needs some improvements. There are also modes I didn’t use, as I’m not in a physical state to. The running coach is one of them. I’d recommend this watch to people in the Nothing / CMF ecosystem, or beginners looking for a solid budget option. Anything other than that and the waters begin to muddy. Thanks for stopping by, I hope this review was helpful.
