CMF Phone 2 Pro Slow Charging

Is anyone else experiencing slow charging on the CMF Phone 2 Pro?

I’ve been using the inbox charger (Indian unit) as well as other PPS-certified chargers that all support over 33W output, yet the phone charges very slowly. It even shows “charging rapidly”, but in reality, it’s anything but rapid.
From 30% to 100%, it takes around 1 hour 30 minutes, and from 0% to 100%, it sometimes takes over 2 hours.

For comparison, my OnePlus Nord CE (30W charging) reaches full charge in just about 1 hour 5 minutes. In 2025, a phone with a 5000 mAh battery taking more than 2 hours to fully charge is just unacceptable.

If this slowdown is due to some software limitation restricting the charging input, it really needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Sourav_Satvaya hey is your problem fixed? I'm kind of facing a similar kind of issue where under 20% it charges slowly and takes more than 2 hrs to charge fully

No bro I also have India unit CMF Phone 2 pro and the phone charges fast no issue facing however the charger get warm than normal charger but the speed is as it is from day one however I just got the phone on 28 sep and I charge from 20-80% only.

Harry I saw some YouTube videos regarding this and some of them also has this issue. Taking more than 2 hr 30 minutes to fully charge. I got the device on 7th October and since day one I have this problem. It could be hardware issue a software bug. Could you please share the current software version of your device?

Sourav_Satvaya download accubattery app and check how much watt is used while charging. If it is lower than 20 then your phone is not utilizing the full 33W potential.

Same case for my unit too. Though I charge from 20% to 90% only but it takes 1 hr 15 min around for 70%.

But the temp also effect charging speed too.

if you have ac in your home you can ch ck charging speed with ac on and off and see if any diff you notice.

Power out put is 8.3 W only, but the charger support upto 33w or atleast 27w .

So even if we get this charger but doesn’t get the full capacity of the fast charging.

If I am missing something please elaborate someone!

CMF Phone 2 pro has some kind of weird charging issue which is affecting charging speed. It’s most likely software bug.

Prasad 🇮🇳 yes we should be able to utilise the full 33w charging potential, while using their official charger.

Mine also charges to 70% per hour speed. Which is not fast charging as promised.

Not yet bro, not sure weather CMF next update will fix or not. No official reply for any thread from CMF, they just created this community and left for our faith?

Sourav_Satvaya I’m facing slow charging under 20% once a day, in cit mode it showing fast charging failed, need to turn off the charger once and turn it back again , then it’s going in fast charging. Also above 25% I’m not facing slow charging issue

are you having slow charging issues all the time or only under 20% like me? Also please check in cit mode after inserting your charger. To enter cit mode dial *#*#9#*#* in your dialer, then go to manual test , then select pd fast charging test. Please check it is showing like me(the screenshot given above) or is it passing the test

AvikNathNYCTISD-HCC-0203 I just checked it. I plugged it in when it was 16% then ran the test, it said failed. Then reinserted the charger and checked it, it said pass. So, it’s not just a specific unit but an issue on all Phone 2 Pro

I also noticed it after updating it, battery percentage was 23, it didn’t go past 10W and only after I rebooted it did it go back to 23W. I have set the battery charge limit to 80%. Need to plug it in twice for rapid charging, the first time plug always leads to slow charge.

Also to pass the charge test , i noticed that It pass only when I insert the usb C with Nothing Branding (on top) if I insert it the opposite side it never pass which is really weird because I thought inserting it was all that mattered but guess not with Nothing.
