NP3 silicon case sucks 😞

With in a month of purchase, the phone case has turned yellow. Really disappointed with Nothing. For other brands, it turns yellow atleast after 3 months of use.

SarthakDas_VyXaX38W2s Transparent TPU contains a small amount of blue coloring, making it appear clear. As it breaks down, the yellow color becomes visible and the blue fades. TPU is naturally slightly yellow, so manufacturers add blue dye to counteract it. However, yellowing is inevitable due to aging and chemical reactions caused by heat, sunlight, and certain chemicals. UV light breaks down TPU, causing yellowing in clear phone cases. It’s degradation of the case itself.

In short: it was probably exposed to UV light a lot.

I’m very happy they provided a case on the box ! Next time they will not provide anything if people complain everytime about everything…

Stereobasic People from certain markets seem to complain a lot. Most flagships don’t come with a case. Complaining that the free included case turns yellow when all transparent cases eventually turn yellow… a bit too much.

I love it and find it very good quality.

That yellowing is likely from manus detritus, i.e. dirty hands.

So, being less grubby would prevent yellowing.

Mine been outside all day all summer long and hasn’t yellowed. Cue the jokes about British summer.

Seriously, oils from skin will discolour all plastics rapidly, which is why most plastics that are touched regularly, i.e. throttle on a bike, are black.
