problems with charging the Nothing Phone 3

I habe the Nothing Phone 3 since June, and for the past month I’ve been having problems with the USB-C port when charging. I’ve tried different charging cables, including the original one from Nothing, but it still won’t charge the Nothing.

There are always interruptions, as if there were a loose connection. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there anything I can do, or should I try to exchange the smartphone?

Hey there! Just swing by the service center for a quick look-see. Usually, it’s just something tiny that’s gotten lodged in the port, and if we can get it out, you’ll be good to go or they will just clean up!!

Slightly off topic, Is nothing 45w charger is good with phone 3? Currently I am using Samsung 25W. Just wanted to check will their be any significant change in charging speed as nothing chargers doesn’t have good reputation.

Going with a 45W GaN charger would be a huge upgrade!

For starters, your Nothing Phone 3 will charge up super fast. Plus, you can juice up three different devices at once, and it’ll automatically adjust the power for each one.

It also runs a lot cooler and can even help your phone’s battery last longer in the long run.

I’m only using a GaN charger these days and it’s an absolute game-changer. I’d totally encourage you to make the switch

No one has seen more than 25-30W continuous charging with any charger on this phone; NP3.

There’s a huge German thread about it and it’s the same with me (with a 30W and a 65W PPS-enabled charger).

CMF1_hacker Using a third party 45 watt on my 3A charges super fast in the 1-50 range, then it drops like you said. But if you’re limiting your max charge to 70-90 then it’s worth it

I have a similar issue. When I plug into a wall adapter my phone charges without any issue. Is I use the same cable and plug into the car or airplane, it briefly indicates charging g then stops.
