Hi everyone,
I recently switched from an iPhone 13 to the Nothing Phone (2a), and while I love the design and performance overall, I’ve noticed a serious issue with the audio quality.
No matter which app I use — Spotify, YouTube Music, or even downloaded tracks — the sound separation feels flat, and the bass isn’t properly defined. It lacks the depth and clarity that I was used to on my previous device.
I’ve tested this thoroughly:
Tried with multiple Bluetooth earphones (including Samsung Buds 2 Pro)
Tried with JBL speakers
Tested on the phone’s own speakers
In all cases, the result is the same: the sound seems to blend together without proper separation between instruments or frequency layers.
I’ve checked all developer options, codecs, and even experimented with different EQ settings, but the problem persists. It almost feels like a software-level audio processing issue or codec limitation.
Has anyone else experienced similar audio quality issues on the Phone (2a)? Any tips or upcoming software fixes for this?
Thanks in advance!
