Nothing added Lock Screen Glimpse, which is the weird redmi like bloatware that shows random stuff like news & blogs on your lockscreen. It was found when I updated my Phone (3a) to NOS 4.0, although it was disabled by default, the onboarding for OS 4.0, urged to enable it.

Nothing pls go back to the roots, we don’t want none of this.

I’m currently using the Nothing Phone 3a (OS 4), and I’ve noticed some changes that feel slightly different from the Nothing identity I’ve always appreciated.

I’m not quite sure about the intention behind introducing Lock Glimpse. When it activates, it somehow feels like an ads notification. It’s a bit off from the clean and minimal OS image I had of Nothing.

As for the app icon redesign, I feel it’s lost a bit of that original Nothing character. The previous Gallery icon, for instance, wasn’t the most obvious, but it carried a nice artistic touch. The new set feels a bit too plain — missing that distinctive Nothing design language.

Maybe Nothing is evolving, and I’ll keep observing how it develops. Just wanted to share some honest impressions as a Phone 3a user.

Honestly, after looking at the redesigned app icon for a while, they’re not that bad — maybe it’s just the Gallery icon that feels a bit too simplified for my taste. The rest actually look quite nice.

Maggi Goreng on my CMF1, I’ve had the OS 4 icons since the 3.0 update. And that Gallery app since last December (2024).

On my CMF, note the camera icon.

Have you simply never updated the NOS icon pack.

kohese The Clock seems a bit too large and I cannot found any settings saying the same. Could you provide a screen recording or screenshots showing your Build-Number?

Dude it’s still in beta 🤣🤣🤣. Trust them,give suggestions. Except that you people are simply degrading the brand and their people 😐😑.

They always listen to user feedback it might be late but they will.

IN my previous post , I very stupidly criticized Nothing, which was entirely my fault.Today all 3a devices got a new beta update Glimpse which has a similar function as glance (ads on lockscreen) thank you Nothing this was a much needed feature
PLEASE IF POSSIBLE ADD MORE BLOATWARE , I LOVE ADS , thats exactly the reason i brought a device that advertised its clean software, right now its an optional setting , please make it permanent on every device. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE COMMUNITY WAS REQUESTING FOR A LONG TIME, MORE ADS!!!!
