It was found when I updated my Phone (3a) to NOS 4.0, although it was disabled by default, the onboarding for OS 4.0, urged to enable it. Nothing pls go back to the roots, we don't want none of this.

Anonymous994 Yup you’re right, but the problem is that “bloatware-free” was an important promise we got from Carl about NOS. And the way they got it rolled out make it look like a Redmi update. This is completely against Nothing’s philosophy, hence their user’s philosophy.

O Wait.. that is a feature you find useful, and this you don’t find useful. However this feature has no impact on you what so ever, so why shouldn’t others be able to use it?

Grynd Google is mentioned as one of their Ads partner so if we give Nothing the benefit of doubt maybe it’s a push from Android? If not then I don’t know why Nothing might’ve decided to bring this feature suddenly

What the fish! Going in the path of Chinese phones. I didn’t expect this coming from nothing. Worst decision from nothing. Now I am having second thoughts for my next phone.

Anonymous931 Well explained bro. Sometimes i get tired seeing that same wallpaper i setup, I think this feature help so you dont have to do all the settings steps.

Alex I haven’t seen evidence that it’s ads. Is it different than app notifications? Or is it really random stuff like Google’s personalised homepage?

Siemens NX I meant actual evidence of advert displays. All that screenshot shows is the same info that Google collects/uses. It is sharing the actual photos used as Wallpaper?

So currently, as this is a beta update, this is just a preview of a feature, nothing else. If they push ads and make anything against that quote above then yeah, it won’t be nice. But we can’t see the future 🤷‍♂️

The guy in the vid turned it all on to make some drama out of nothing, internet as usual.
