TurtleFoot As a high-end fan, I place particular importance on natural reproduction. I love drums, but the sounds have to be lightning-fast and clean. I don’t like a wavering, muffled bass. I prefer less and more precise.

TurtleFoot All I can say is that the “Personal Sound” setting works perfectly for me.

Current issues (.74/.79):

Bass enhance feature has no noticeable effect
Maximum volume is capped at what seems like ~70%

Hopefully this will gain some visibility and be addressed by the engineering team soon, even some transparency would go a long way.

Set up the personalized profile last night, for the uninitiated it uses a basic audiometry test to determine which frequency bands to boost and cut in each ear. I’m not yet sure if I like the results that came out of it, the upper treble in particular was a bit…fizzy for me on some songs, but I’ll give it a go for a few days and if I really end up not liking it I can always go back to @Tofu ’s 1.74 EQ which was still plenty satisfactory for me post-firmware update.

I’ve got Bass Enhancement set to 2 now where it was set to 1 before, I can perceive a difference, but it’s subtle. The main point of confusion for me is that the volume is noticeably lower when listening to a wired source, either USB-C or 3.5mm.

MaihGmbH at this point you’re refusing to answer a simple question and it low key sounds like you’re a shill for Nothing.

All I can say is the max volume is low, the bass enhancement doesn’t work, and the new personal sound errors out in my app.

Literally nothing changed except persnal audio addition, which does not make them sound any better. Roll the og firmoware so we can go back please

So sad. Personal Sound is good, but the Head phone still sounds bad than before, Especially the Bass.

Please bring back the punchy and bassy sound from the oldest firmware.
Or at least leave the choice to the user, or the ability to roll back to the oldest firmwares (where the sound was GREAT) 😭

Sad to see the bass enhancement still isn’t working, although I don’t use it myself.

For me, the personal audio really fixed the sound signature and it added back a nice amount of low end without making them sound muddy. Really enjoying listeninf to them again now. But that’s just me, Nothing needs to step up and fix the issues others are having still.

After the update, all my favorite EQ presets stopped working. Compared to the new features, the old sound was much better. Now it just sounds like I'm banging on plastic. I'm heartbroken.
