I really don’t know what’s going on with Essential Space, but it’s honestly becoming frustrating to use. There are multiple issues that make the experience feel broken and unfinished.
1. Recording stops on its own: Every time I press the Essential button, it just stops recording automatically, even before I release it. What’s the point of holding the button if it won’t even stay active?
2. Keeps logging me out: The app logs me out of my Nothing account again and again. I’ll log in, and within 15-30 minutes, it kicks me out. Then I have to log in again and again just to get my widgets to work. It’s extremely annoying to keep doing this over and over.
3. Widget refuses to update: The widget doesn’t update automatically. I have to remove it and add it again just to see updated info (sometimes that doesn’t work either). I guess that’s not how it should work.
4. Customer support wasn’t helpful: I even contacted Nothing customer care about these issues, and all they told me was to reset my device. I literally just bought this phone about a month ago why should I have to reset it already? I asked if there was any other solution, and they just told me to visit a Nothing service center. The problem is, the nearest one is really far from where I live, and it’s just not practical for me to travel that far for something like this.
I genuinely like what Nothing is trying to do with Essential Space, but these bugs and the lack of proper support are really disappointing. Please take this seriously and fix these issues. it’s getting exhausting dealing with them every day.
UPDATE:
i have figured out that the reason my widgets are not working is because i haven't logged in to my nothing account yet. and since this app is not letting me to stay logged in, my essential space is not working properly. so i really really hope that they fix this problem in the upcoming update 🙏
UPDATE:
it's been 2 days and i think the problem is fixed now somehow. but i am not sure yet. it seems to be working fine as of now but i will keep you guys updated on this issue.
