Hi
I’m facing a persistent slow charging issue with my Nothing Phone (3). The phone takes around 3–4 hours to charge fully and never exceeds 10–12W charging speed, even though it supports up to 65W fast charging.
Initially, I was using the Nothing 45W charger, so I thought the slow charging might be due to that. To confirm, I ordered the official CMF 140W GaN charger, but after testing with it, the issue still persisted. This process caused some delay in realizing that the problem wasn’t with the charger but with the device itself.
After several back-and-forth emails with Nothing Care over two weeks without a proper resolution, I sent a follow-up expressing my frustration. They eventually asked me to visit a service center. After diagnosis, the technicians informed me that the issue could be due to a sub-board malfunction or a battery defect, and requested my approval to proceed with a repair.
This is disappointing because the phone is practically brand new, and this kind of issue clearly points to a manufacturing defect. Unfortunately, by the time I confirmed this (after about 10 days), the 7-day DOA window in India had already passed. However, I’ve learned that in other regions, the DOA period is up to 30 days, which feels unfair and inconsistent.
I genuinely hope the Nothing team @Carl @Akis reviews my case and provides a fair resolution, considering this is a clear hardware fault that existed from the beginning.
Thanks.
Added Screenshots and even Nothing Service Center is admitted it's a hardware issue.
