I have opened a Nothing support ticket (1196153).
They asked me to capture the log and send them, but I told them that unfortunately, due to the random nature of this issue, I have no way to reliably reproduce it—it occurs spontaneously. This makes it quite difficult to keep the log capturing tool running in the background and wait for the bug to appear.
And nothing (not Nothing) has happened since then!
EXPLANATION:
I have two languages set on my Nothing Phone (1): English (US) as the primary and Persian as the secondary. There’s a recurring bug that randomly causes parts of the UI to switch to Persian—despite English being the active system language. This typically affects Quick Settings tiles, fingerprint authentication pop-ups, and Power options. The issue seems to occur after locking the device, but there’s no consistent way to reproduce it.
Notably, the rest of the UI remains in English, and the system eventually reverts back to normal—either after some time (usually a day) or by restarting the device.
Please note that restarting the phone does temporarily resolve the glitch, but it inevitably reappears.
My operating system is fully up-to-date. I’m currently running Nothing OS 3.2 (Spacewar-V3.2-250926-1631-EEA) on Phone (1).
This bug affects users who have set two – or possibly more – system languages on their device. Since this setup might not be typical in testing environments, it’s possible the issue hasn’t been identified or addressed by the Nothing OS team yet. Given its random nature and recurring behavior, I recommend forwarding this description and the attached screenshots to them for further investigation and reference.
This issue isn’t limited to just my device or the English–Persian language combination. On Nothing’s official Discord server, other users—including _cyber22k—have reported experiencing the exact same behavior.
