Coldpaw You can uninstall the apps but their services are still running in the background. Refer to the link above to see the detailed breakdown, in short they are including system level services for Meta to optimize the apps further.
For people like me who don't use these apps, these are just liabilities and security concerns. Meta is not the cleanest company and they want to track you 24/7 no matter what, i'm not comfortable with this kind of thing. Only doing this for the (a) series seems like they are sacrificing most of their customers for the money bag.
