Dear Nothing Team,
I am a dedicated user of your product and I greatly appreciate your commitment to continuous improvement.
I would like to bring an important suggestion to your attention regarding camera performance and third-party app integration, specifically with Instagram.
The Issue:
When recording videos on Instagram using the back camera and attempting to zoom in, the device currently does not switch to the dedicated telephoto lens. Instead, it appears to use digital zoom on the main wide-angle sensor, resulting in a noticeable drop in video quality when zooming.
The Suggestion:
Please consider implementing a software update or optimization that allows the system to properly utilize the telephoto lens (the dedicated zoom camera) for video recording within the Instagram app when the user is zooming with the back camera. This feature is crucial for creating high-quality, zoomed-in video content directly through Instagram Stories/Reels.
An option to manually select the telephoto lens when zooming in the Instagram video interface would be an excellent solution.
Incorporating this improvement would significantly enhance the user experience for content creators and would be a major positive step for your device's camera performance in third-party social media apps.
Thank you for considering this feedback.
Sincerely,
A Nothing User
