This is a post well written and structured with good message but there are so many things wrong with it cause he is using so many tehniques to sound correct, push his personal agenda and posing as a angel, I'm not just gonna accuse but constructively break it down and show
Amudhan_Sundararajan I’ve been active here for a while, and I’ve got to say — the Nothing community has become one of the most toxic tech spaces I’ve seen recently. And honestly, the main reason behind this mess is the fanboys.
These fanboys don’t just defend Nothing — they go out of their way to argue, attack, or troll anyone who gives valid criticism or even helpful suggestions. It’s reached a point where people are scared to share honest feedback because someone will pop up to mock them.
Scapegoating: blaming “fanboys” as “the main reason behind this mess” oversimplifies a complex issue by pinning all responsibility on one group
Us vs. Them Fallacy: A tactic that divides people into opposing groups like “insiders” versus “outsiders”, to create bias, pressure conformity, and shut down open discussion.
Ad Hominem Labeling: calling people “fanboys” grouping anyone who povides an argument for a critisism with a label instead of addressing what they’ve actually said
Appeal to Emotion: words like “toxic” and “mess” are emotionally charged, meant to trigger reactions instead of presenting evidence
Amudhan_Sundararajan Because of this behavior, people are leaving the community. I’ve literally seen one user stop posting entirely, while another got banned after things escalated. Everyone played a part in that outcome, but the constant trolling is what keeps triggering these reactions.
he says "people", when it was one guy, and I'm linking that post here : https://nothing.community/d/46022-leaving-the-community
"However, I will say that the community is suffering from a metric ton of seriously bad actors, turning the community board into a complaint department, taking serious and legitimate discussions, turning them into toxic troll-bait to try to get a rise out of one or more individuals for their own “fun”, etc.."
This above para is from that post, and you can read why he/she actually left the community and now read this
Amudhan_Sundararajan Why should a consumer have to come up with solutions? Even when we do, those good suggestions are ignored while the trolls get all the attention. And that constant back-and-forth turns every thread into a warzone.

You guy can see how OP is clearly using just one person's post and falsley overplaying it by saying "people" and lying about his reasoning
what he is doing here is
Strawman of motive : Twisting or inventing someone’s reasoning or motives so you can attack or use it to support your own argument.
Amudhan_Sundararajan So yeah, this community isn’t toxic because of criticism. It’s toxic because of how some people respond to criticism. We all need to chill a bit and remember we’re in the same boat — we bought Nothing products because we believed in the brand’s promise. Let’s act like a community, not a battlefield.
You can also how he is manuplating and pinning blame on a set of people, by grouping them under one term
And look at these self contradicting hypocratic statements :
Amudhan_Sundararajan Everyone played a part in that outcome, but the constant trolling is what keeps triggering these reactions.

he is saying everyone, but shifting the blame and pinning it on one imaginary group instantly.
Don't trust me or blindly believe me check what these techniques are : "Strawman Arguement", "Us vs Them", "Scapegoating", "Appeal to virtue", "Moral high ground fallacy", "victim card", "High scale Generalizing" , then read this post again and decide for yourself.
And one more thing…
look at how he says bloatware is bad but
Amudhan_Sundararajan Everyone hates ads — that’s why people use browsers like Brave or Firefox, just to skip them. So when Nothing, a brand that marketed itself around minimalism and a clean experience, starts adding adware (Lock Glimpse) and Meta Services, of course users are going to react strongly.
If they really wanted to make money through partnerships, they could’ve at least added apps that offer some value — and still keep them optional. For example:
Its not bad if they are useful to him. I wouldn't have said that if he just mentioned Netflix, chatGPT, I am saying that because he is mentioning Epic Games.
Read this post from 2020 : https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24669678
Why would anybody against bloatware would say ok to useless bloatware like Epic Games ( its has very less userbase than insta or FB) for that I propose, he is doing that because he himself uses and plays Epic Games. Else anybody who considers Meta, insta and FB bloatware would never consider Epic Games as a good bloatware.
I wanna conclude by saying this, Nothing community is a space with a lot of people from different places and different personalities. BUT we all should abide by the rules and basic civil behaviour in this community. You can guys check official Feedback threads, many people give feedback there and there is no trolling or toxicity there. I am repeating this time to time, Feedback and critiscism is better given in feedback threads, which lets normal posts and creative discussions happen in normal threads and posts.
Tl Dr: Don't fall prey for thoughts, opinions of others. Read things, check facts, think, deduce and conclude for yourself.
Don't get Gaslighted or manuplated.
And I'll be called "fanboy" "NTL_Crew" or you might have some prejudice on me so again
