Are they really? That's exciting news! I found and briefly read an article here which says it can be toggled on & off. Funny, I suggested that idea years ago. Same with anti-glare gallery glass displays. Got a bunch more ideas that'll probably show up in a few more years. 🧠

Is this actually baked into the display panel itself (like these advanced anti-glare coatings Samsung has introduced with the S24 Ultra last year) or is it even an on-demand solution which can be enabled and disabled via software?

While I am always interested in display improvements, like the already mentioned anti-glare technology, one still can already get it in form of (privacy) screen protectors.

If it's always there, it could also be annoying if you want to watch content on purpose with several people besides you, they won't be able to get a good viewing experience on the dim screen fue to the limited viewing angles.
