The future of mobile tech and pocket devices has been on my mind a lot lately and I thought it would be fun to have a discussion about where everyone sees personal computing devices going.
For me personally I've been seeing the progress of controller boards or low power chips like the esp32s3 and the like, I think maybe the proper way to leverage AI is to automate higher functioning tasks to AI and have low power chips running an interface to interact with. I.e. an esp32 with a rasberry pi ect. Along those lines as well I think having an esp32 chip in a phone with LoRa capabilities could change things up a bit. Think blackbery with its end to end encrypted messaging and then imessage, both making those devices desirable for private messging, I think LoRa should be available to the masses and could be a new way of bring people into local circles rather than being globally minded all the time, could encourage communities to be more communal and bring a much needed privacy to the ever-growing encroaching governmental oversight into your personal life. Anyway I'm going off on a rant at this point. I have more ideas towards future tech and the nothing ethos (nothing home server running a nothing flavor of linux capable of running a personal ai) but I just wanted to get a conversation going if anyone is interested.
Cheers!
