BenedictRafael your goal is to get the Dev team to look at this suggestion, why not make it easy for them to implement?
If it was me, I’d provide a concept figure, look at the code that needs to be changed, and provide that to the Dev team.
Then the dev team could easily say, yo! We responded to direct community wants.
Also after this status bar fiasco where they changed it and people remain unhappy, why would they do that again.
Conduct a poll and decide what people want and they make a proposition.
