Hello! I have been looking for a new phone that I would really love to own and have recently switched to Nothing. Oh, my goodness, for a while I was enjoying the very original design of OS 2.0 SO MUCH!
The original font, the clock, the simplicity and efficiency of everything. This amazing elegant design, uncluttered and sophisticated at the same time has captivated me. How congruent it was, how ideally suited for the Nothing phone hardware design and overall Nothing concept message.
Frankly speaking, it was the very first time I fell in love with a smartphone!
It was so unique, better than anything I’ve experienced with other famous brands that are dominating the market.
When I switched my Nothing phone for the first time, its made me feel as if I was in sci-fi universes like Alien Earth. So cool!
Moreover, as an architect I can say that the original Nothing design and its whole innovative concept felt so right for me, reminding of blueprints and architectural drawings with their ultimate precision and visual clarity.
And then updates were installed…
The original font has disappeared, some weird colours appeared, special movement effects, a fat brightness bar… In some ways it started to feel like all other phones, which is disappointing for me personally and contradicts the whole concept of Nothing.
Several of my friends and collegues are also not happy with the change, that leaves no way to swith back to the orignal mode.
Please, while creating new system updates, would you consider to include an option to switch back to the original design?
Or an option to select separately the unique original Nothing font (which we have found finally, but only in the Experimental Features), dotted clock, monochrome design of numbers background on the lock screen when you press on them, no animated movement of app windows when you open them, monochrome icons wtih red inclusions?
If you save original Nothing design options while adding new designs for those who wanted them, then all your clients will be happy. I, personally, would never go back to other famous brands that I had before.
Thank you and take care!
