Hey Nothing Team,
I’ve been a proud owner of the Nothing Phone (1) since 2022, and even though it has been quite a while, I wanted to share a few issues that have started appearing recently. I hope the team can look into these and help resolve them:
WhatsApp app lock glitch – After unlocking, the screen often gets stuck and doesn’t proceed further.
Notification issue – Sometimes when I tap on a notification, the screen freezes and the app opens only after a delay.
Overall performance optimisation – The phone has become noticeably slow and lags frequently. Even after clearing storage, it struggles and overheats, especially while gaming.
Wireless charging problem – The phone heats up significantly while wireless charging and occasionally stops charging before resuming.
Camera performance drop – The camera, especially the wide-angle lens, doesn’t perform as well as before and struggles to take good shots.
Gallery app lag – The gallery takes a long time to load photos. Please optimise the gallery and core apps for smoother performance.
I’m aware that the Nothing Phone (1) will no longer receive major OS upgrades, but it is still promised to get security patches and bug-fix updates until around mid-2026 as part of the 4-year support commitment. So I really hope the team ensures optimisation and stability updates continue as promised and kindly keep updating the NP1 at least until the launch of the Nothing Phone (4), as I’m personally waiting for that device. Please don’t lose out on loyal NP1 users like me. I’m in dire need of a phone upgrade but I genuinely want to stay with Nothing, and I’m ready to wait for NP4. So please don’t lose me on that.
