I am using iphone 14 currently, used pixel 5 before that and pixel 2 xl before that.
Pixel is amazing but has many issues which are irritating as a basic phone user who just takes phone calls on the go and text and photos. iPhone is nice and definitely has a premium feel to it. But most 3rd party apps user interface suck. Face recognition is irritating. Cause I wear spectacles most of the times, it refuses to work when I’m not wearing them.
One of the most important features for me was the fingerprint scanner on pixel 2 xl. It was second to none. The best to date. Even better than the pixel 5.
I would jump to buy pixel 2 xl again, one of the main reasons being the finger print scanner. I would copy the scanner in every aspect - location, depth, feel, size etc.
For me fingerprint scanner is important. Wherever it is, on the side of the phone, front of the phone or back of the phone. As long as it unlocks the phone quickly without me looking at it.
Not sure how you guys can incorporate this. But just my thought.
