The only real change I can see is the extra dark mode and inconsistency . The app folders still look grey. The WiFi and Cellular Singal icons went back in time. But the battery icon progressed into the future. TERRIBLE design language.
The very thing nothing got recognised for is the Dot Matrix design language, which is nowhere to be seen. Like this doesn’t feel like a Nothing phone at all. WHY NOTHING ?
Nothing in the Nothing OS feels original and consistent.
I like the Nothing Play ground and all. But that’s secondary. People don’t keep staring at widgets all day. We want real changes. Consistent design and STAYING in the ORIGINAL ENVIRONMENT ( the Nothing design everywhere ).
The Dialer - definitely doesn’t look like nothing. IDK why NOTHING hasn’t changed it yet.
The Camera - I honestly regret going with Nothing. Over time the the images have become so saturated and unnatural. I absolutely love the video tho.
I’d go with Nothing in the future only if I get to see the Nothing’s original design language with consistency everywhere, good Cameras and image processing (atleast 4x optical zoom)
So IS IT WORTH THE HYPE ? I mean, these changes aren’t even something to be rolled out in such hyped OS release. Just a normal release along the the security patch would’ve been great.
