I MIXED 2 ERAS OF MY LIFE 🪞
The setup looks strange I know.
The intention was to mix two important eras of my life. We don’t really leave our past selves behind, they come with us and curl up in the same chair.
I remember when things were different, when everything fit on a smaller screen and somehow felt bigger. So with that inspiration, I wanted to truly capture the theme based on my most committed hobby: Gaming. How it has evolved and how I evolved with it.
So what I did in this personal photoshoot was try to reunite the modern evolution of gaming (PS5, smartphones) with the 90s.
So I recreated this moment.
Back then, it was that small TV, exactly like the one that’s still here. I’ve held onto it all these years, purely for nostalgia sake, I couldn’t let it go. It has witnessed so much among my childhood.
Now I’m holding a phone that has more power than anything I could’ve imagined back then, a wireless controller that would’ve seemed impossible back then. The feeling hasn’t changed because I’m still the same person, just with more years attached.
Gaming evolved and I evolved alongside it, it has been the one constant while everything else shifted and complicated itself.
