Jio 5G icon displayed as "5G", bug or carrier side?

Today I did factory reset of mine Nothing Phone (2a) running on Latest NOS 4.0,

Whole day, the Jio True5G symbol on status bar was “5G+” (as it has been ever since jio rolled out 5G services) but since I did the factory reset, it only showing “5G” not plus symbol.

I even check NetMonster app for the connected network bands and it is connected to 3500 MHz one and speed are similar as it was prior to reset.

So is this a carrier side thing or bug of NOS 4.0 ?

Groot54 if the network and internet speed is good…then no need to worry… and that 5g symbol is Carrier thing… but in your case… the fonts of the 5G symbol is different…same as system fonts… so nothing might changed it via os update or something like that…

JP It feels the symbol is same as your’s, slightly bold maybe. No effect on functionality though all good.

I will do the factory reset once again just for peace of mind, hard to accept the sudden change and also no one else has report the change so kinda unsure

Groot54 yup… people are so annoyed with that different fonts on the status bar… but you’re the first one with changed fonts..so its great to see that , that tiny 5g symbol now same as other fonts🤪😂 I’m happy

I use cmf ph 1.. we’ll be getting nos4 in week or two…
