Hi everyone,
I’m sharing a few issues I’ve been facing after updating my phone to Nothing OS 4.0. The update completed successfully and everything worked fine for a few days. After that, the following problems started appearing.
1. “Log tool keeps stopping” screen flash issue
A message flashes on the screen for a very short time and disappears immediately. Initially, I couldn’t read it, but after capturing a screenshot, I confirmed the message says:
“Log tool keeps stopping.”
• The flash appears repeatedly every few minutes
• The message is visible only for about 0.01 second
• In the shared video, the flash can be seen between 40 sec and 42 sec
• In Safe Mode, this flash message does not appear
• Clearing cache of all apps did not resolve the issue
• Screenshots and screen recordings are available
This looks like a system or background service issue rather than a third-party app.
2. Feedback / Tips section not loading (normal mode and Safe Mode)
I tried reporting this through Settings > Tips & Feedback, but the feedback category does not load at all.
What happens: • Tapping on Feedback shows a blank/loading screen
• Sometimes it automatically goes back
• Retrying doesn’t help
• Tested in Safe Mode also, still not working
• Screen recording available
Because of this, I’m unable to submit feedback directly from the device.
3. Volume animation lag (resolved after restart)
Earlier, I experienced lag in the volume animation: • Slow response when pressing volume up/down
• Lag when tapping the volume icon
After restarting the device, this issue has not appeared again so far.
Additional details
• All apps are fully updated
• System software is up to date
• No new updates available
• These issues started only after updating to Nothing OS 4.0
