Very disappointed and unsatisfied with OS 4.0 update on CMF Phone 2 Pro

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding your recent actions related to the OS 4.0 update. You clearly communicated that the CMF Phone 2 Pro would receive the OS 4.0 update within this month. However, instead of fulfilling that commitment, you released the update for older devices first, completely ignoring your latest model. This feels misleading and unfair to customers who trusted your words and invested in your newest product. This is not the first time such behavior has occurred. Repeatedly making promises and then failing to honor them feels like deception. As a user, I feel disrespected and betrayed. A latest device being treated worse than older models is unacceptable and damaging to your brand’s credibility. CMF Phone 2 Pro is a new device, yet it is being left behind. This is humiliating for users and creates strong resentment toward the company. If this kind of practice continues, I strongly believe that customers will gradually lose trust, stop using your phones, and eventually move away from your brand altogether. From today onward, I will share my honest experience on my YouTube channel and encourage others to think carefully before purchasing any CMF or Nothing products. I cannot support or recommend a brand that treats its customers this way. I urge you to take responsibility, communicate transparently, and deliver the promised update for CMF Phone 2 Pro as soon as possible. Otherwise, this kind of customer dissatisfaction will only grow.

It was unfair for CMF phone 2 Pro users . CMF community rollout nothing os 4.0 for CMF phone 1 but not for phone 2 Pro users.However all nothing phone series received update at same time.

Lol it would certainly appear to be. It wouldn’t be so bad but I have a terrible feeling some are adults. Most concerning. So my cmf phone will have to wait a couple of weeks for it’s update. Fine. Fine and dandy. As long as it’s smooth, bugs ironed out and of course, the camera situation is rectified. So what if the earlier model gets it first lol, it’s not the end of the world now is it. No. Honestly, check yourself. While you wait the couple of weeks for it, do it calmly, and if it gets to much lie down in a dark room and count to 1000. It will be ok. You will be alright.

maksimovsergejj it’s not ruining lifes. It’s about trust and order. Like, cmf 1,2 n ntg 3alite powered by same SoC. Is it fair to update some older product first? NO. Ruining order = ruining trust. Why i need to buy some cmf product in future preferred to some noname China brand? No reason at all, as i see. If you don’t, hope you’re blind bc there is no other reason. Although of course some may feel that being told one date, for release, then finding out the date has moved back, becomes something more than what it is. A change of dates. Requiring users to “hang on” for a couple of weeks. Do we consider why the date may have moved back? Perhaps it is for even more improvements. I don’t know and you don’t know. Trust and order. Trust. I trust them to get it right and if I have to wait perhaps a whole 14 days I will do so. Because I trust them. Order. If order is start to finish, if order is a to z then that’s fine, 1 is before 2, so they are upgrading “in order”

“I hope you’re blind bc there is no other reason” Lost me completely. They are my thoughts, also a cmf phone 2 pro user. Personally the upgrade to android 16 is good but from what I have read the upgrade to nos 4 makes barely a ripple. Though I still have concerns for the camera. I hope they improve it. Mmmm.

egortro42 Friend, just recently, you couldn’t count on a lot of updates for phones, even in the mid-range segment, and sometimes you couldn’t even count on an update at all! I once had a Samsung Galaxy Mini, and it only received one update, from 2.2.1 to 2.3.5! And then I had a Huawei Y300, and it didn’t receive a single update! The fact that even cheap devices now get multiple OS updates is an achievement! The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (x) and Huawei nova 5t were the ones I got the most updates for, but they mostly updated the shell, not the Android version. You know, I lived pretty well with those phones ☺️

It’s true that Nothing OS 4.0 doesn’t have that many features compared to 3.0. However, it’s now based on Android 16, which is a new major release from Google.

Android 16 contains some “under-the-hood” changes that might break some app compatibility which is why it’s taking them so long to release Nothing OS 4.0 for other phones.

Also, since the CMF Phones use MediaTek, companies like Nothing need to sign an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) with MediaTek in order to obtain resources such as source codes and development tools.

Yes. And. 1 is before 2, is it not. And in this instance that is the chosen order. For what reason? Who knows. Yes obviously new to old is the norm, but not always. In the not to distant past Samsung have done the same. For whatever reason. I’m more than sure, nay, certain that the release is being done correctly. As planned. As much as can be planned. I’m sure bugs are being squashed, errors corrected. Marvelous. Mmmmm

I think we should wait anyway. It’s not about how fast we get it, but about it being done right.

That said, Nothing should be more careful in the future and release updates simultaneously for the same category of phones.
