I expected more from the latest CMF 1 update!

Although I have been waiting for update number 4 for CMF for a long time and during this time I searched the internet and YouTube for update features, this update is very weak even as the latest update for my mobile! Apart from a few basic features, it has no special features! At least I expected you to consider the latest CMF update much better!

Why do you differentiate between higher and lower models? If I wanted my phone to be like other companies, I would go for Apple or Samsung!!!

Take this as a criticism and fix it, be yourself! Copying others in anything was never a good idea! I expected much more from you and dear Mr. Karl! I thought you would not miss anything in the latest update of my mobile and literally make this update infinitely better!

But this update is no different from update number 3, it’s like you downloaded two new watches from Google Play and updated two or three software!

I am actually wondering: You mentioned you did some research about OS 4.0 while waiting for the CMF release and bow you are disappointed with it because it feels too little in terms of improvements and features.

However that’s nothing surprising since people with NP3, NP2 and lately the 3a series have been sharing information like this since weeks already.

I am already waiting for the CMF Phone 2 Pro users currently crying about the delay to come back in two or three weeks to cry again because the OS 4.0 updates feels weak. 🙃

Without wanting to downplay any critics of OS 4.0, the lack of new things in this update shouldn’t come as a surprise if you have done any research.

Whilst it is sad that you thought cmf would not miss anything in the latest update of your mobile and literally make this update infinitely better, you can always hold onto that thought in preparation for NOS5. Let’s hope it isn’t late arriving, and, is infinitely better! Mmmmm

Mirel It was also the last major update for NP2 users, they got the same disappointment.

Of course. I completely forgot NOS4 is final for cmf phone 1 I suppose if this is it’s final update then that is that. Some appear more than happy with it. But as with all phones, the final update will come and go. To infinity, and beyond.

s_d_l for final ‘major’ update.. it’s good .. because most last updates make phones slow and sluggish… but nos4 made cmf ph1 even smoother… i never had problem with this phone before nos4…

As much i know cmf ph1 will get features and security for more 1 year… cmf ph1 might receive nos4.x updates also..

s_d_l Of course it will get further security updates (both CMF 1 and NP2) and these updates might also include some bugfixes with issues regarding OS 4.0

Personally I am on NP3 (and also NP2) and can’t really complain about OS 4.0, especially on my NP3 I have seen a notable improvement of battery life. However I can understand why people feel underwhelmed about such a big update and in regards of my NP2, I am just disappointed they didn’t improve the camera quality and brought the image processing up to more modern standards, it would have been a nice farewell to NP2 users who are keeping their phone. But no, they didn’t apply any improvements.

My bad. When I wrote this I should have made it clear that security updates and patches were not included in my remark NOS4 is final for CMF phone 1. Perhaps NOS4 is final MAJOR UPDATE for CMF phone 1 Apologies

Bring more updates for CMF Phone 1 and improve overall stability.

And also work on nothing apps like in gallery many features are still missing like object eraser

I am quite please with it.

SoT is between 10 and 13 hours and I see no major bugs.

The hardware still runs everything I throw at it quite well and the in-app camera has improved (WhatsApp, FB messenger, IG, etc…) where this was lacking before.

From a European standpoint, it’s a £169 phone (very inexpensive) that still performs really well and feels like it will last another 2-3 years even without a custom ROM.

I looked at the battery life I mine this morning and after nearly 160 cycles over 400 days, only 4% of capacity has been lost.

NOS isn’t flawless, but it’s light and does nearly every major thing correctly. Third-party apps correct for any anything it’s lacking IMO.

Stellar value at £169 except for the crappy front screen protector and the ability of the rear lenses to be scratched, which I haven’t seen as I protected them.
