Essential Search missing in CMFP2P

thelahee

After updating to 4.0 still no Essential Search, just a regular search bar that only suggests you a list if services you can search in. Why? Is it not available for phone 2 pro, or is there a region lock?

upd: yeah, if you try to go Essential Search’s Play Store page, it says “unsupported on your device”. Huge bummer.

thelahee It seems Essential Search support is only currently for Nothing Phone 3a/Pro and the Phone 3.

thelahee

JP

thelahee 😂😂okay…keep that ss to yourself and you problem also👍🏻

thelahee

JP are you ok? I described the problem fully, why would you need a screenshot? To see it and say “oh yeah i don’t know seems like it’s not available”? Thanks a lot

JP

thelahee when that essential search bar was introduced first it was broken for cmf and non essential key phones… you have to download apk for it to work properly… mine working since 6 months on cmf ph1 … you don’t act like nO.wHy? when someone is trying to help 🤷🏻 that bummer you’re talking is solved before 6 months…

thelahee I am also pretty disappointed finding out it was unavailable.

JP we’re talking ai quick answers, not just the search panel. I’ve installed apk too in summer and the search bar is present, and i checked the app to be the latest version. But it doesn’t do anything more than searching through your data and suggesting google, youtube etc. This is not exactly what they promised Essential Search to be.

Man I really wish my phone was just a singular search bar kind of like what they’re doing with essential search. I wonder when they’ll actually release it officially for all the phones with AI features.
