PREET AJMERI i didn’t feel that much change in bass…(because some issues varies from device to device) i have 2 headphones..one is cheap 2k headphones and headphones 1 both have similar bass .. i use them for videos/movies or meetings… for music i use buds 2a .. fantastic bass… i never heard bass that smooth and strong in any earbuds before…👌🏻

Hi, any one has a good EQ for v1.0.1.81? I think that the old ones are not sounding that well any more.

Zedt After the update, it already sounds noticeably better and doesn’t require any EQ adjustments anymore.

Hi everyone

I’ve been using my Nothing Headphone (1) since July 2025 without any issues, but since the recent v1.0.1.81 firmware update, I’ve started experiencing a frustrating issue.

The Problem:

At higher volumes (around 80% or above), the drivers start to crackle/distort on bass-heavy tracks.

Important Observation:

This ONLY happens when ANC is turned ON.

If I switch to Transparency mode or turn Noise Cancellation OFF, the crackling disappears completely, and the sound is crystal clear even at 100% volume.

It seems like the new firmware’s ANC algorithm is “clipping” or overdriving the DSP at high volumes.

Model: Nothing Headphone (1)

Firmware: 1.0.1.81

Codec: AAC (Android)

EQ: Balanced

Is anyone else experiencing this? If you have this firmware, could you please test a bassy track at 80% volume with ANC enabled?

I’ve already performed a hard reset and re-paired the device, but the issue persists. Hoping for a quick hotfix from the team!

GergelyNagy Yep, I’m having the same exact issue with the current .81 version. Really hope they’ll fix this in the next update.
