Starting last year with the Phone (3a) series, we housed a Snapdragon processor and it was immediately loved by you for how stable, smooth, and reliable it felt in everyday use. We heard that feedback clearly. Owing to that success, we’ve decided to continue with Snapdragon for the Phone (4a) series focussing on robust performance, deeper Nothing OS integration, and AI experiences.

Selin Loved the stability on my Nothing Phone (3a), especially for camera usage and daily performance.

Excited to see how the deeper Nothing OS integration with Snapdragon improves long-term smoothness and image processing on the Phone (4a).

The Al part sounds interesting too - hoping for smarter camera and gallery features.

Most likely to be the SD 7s Gen 4, as according to Android Central, GSMArena and Antutu benchmark leaks.

With UFS 3.1, 12GB RAM and SD 7s Gen 4, the Phone 4a might look to set this year up for Nothing.

Err_404NotFound 4a with 7sgen4 is already be confirmed. There is nearly no differences between 7sgen4 and 7sgen3. I’d still prefer the Pro series to be equipped with 7 Gen 4, as it would deliver much better GPU performance.

Err_404NotFound more than the CPU, its the UFS 3.1 storage that will make the major difference in responsiveness. Combined with NOS , it will shine very well!

Justsomemyth Yes it will be the SD 7s Gen 4, as due to the RAM prices this year, Nothing is focusing more on a flagship like experience at a lower cost to them and consumers - so they use an incremental upgrade to the processor to make it slightly better than the Phone (3a) series.

How will the RAM “industry” affect the production of new phones?

etidorhpa RAM affects what components can be used simultaneously in a phone, you can’t use a good UFS chip and Snapdragon processor if the RAM is ancient or cannot deal with the amount of performance the CPU or UFS can.

itc_c The UFS 3.1 will make it slightly better with Nothing OS as a standalone chip. However, there is probably not such a big change in performance, as since Nothing OS is so heavily optimised for the lower spec UFS chip, it feels faster than it actually is. So don’t expect flagship level UFS speed, it will be better than (3a) series, but not overall a killer upgrade.

Err_404NotFound right… nos is very optimised… for day to day tasks phone 3 and cmf ph1 is same… you can’t even tell apart which is which🔥✨ that’s what i like about nos… there are people who are facing issues with nos but it’s very low number of people…
