Interesting and unexpected, to be honest I certainly enjoy the Nothing devs keep playing with different styles and ideas for the glyph system when launching new phones.
I loved the original glyph light interface on my Phone (2) and it was one of the reasons why I even kind of downgraded from my beloved Fold 4 to the Nothing phone in almost an instant.
I like the new matrix iteration on my now beloved Nothing Phone (3) for it’s quirky uniqueness and the playful animations it can deliver, even though I keep being vocal about how I still prefer the previous light interface, I still do enjoy the matrix.
With the new glyph bar it seems like Nothing again stands true to keep kind of an industrial retro style for the notification system and integrate it well into a modern smartphone. While I, as a NP3 user, am certainly not in a market for a 4a, I am still looking forward to see the whole implementation.
I just hope yet another style won’t bring an end to improving and expanding the development pf NP3’s matrix.
