What kind of essential notifications do you have?
It’s very simple when it fails. A quick example to demonstrate:
Create an essential notification in WhatsApp when contact X writes to you
Have contact X send you a WhatsApp message. You will receive the alert on the Glyph Matrix (OK)
Have another person (without an essential notification) send you a WhatsApp message. Your essential notification will disappear.
All of this without having touched or rotated the Nothing Phone (3)
It’s more than proven that this has been happening since NOS4.0. I got it fixed in NOS3.5 but they broke it again. I went (WITHOUT CHANGING ANY RULES) from everything working fine to this happening (among other errors).
I’m not generalizing; many users report multiple issues with the Glyph Matrix that are not fixed. If you use extremely simple rules, it works fine. The moment you ask for something with a slightly more detailed rule, it fails when you receive multiple notifications. I’ve demonstrated it via text, with videos… Nothing has all the proof and DOES NOT fix it.
It’s frustrating that you say I report detailed essential notification issues to Nothing (through their official channel) and that you tell me this doesn’t contribute anything to the community.
It’s obvious that it fails and they know it, but either they can’t figure out how to fix it or, since we’re a “minority” experiencing these errors when using rules, they give it no priority.
