kueyiar I can understand, it’s frustrating when the issue comes back. Since the issue came back it could be software or battery/charging related issues.

I want to conform that

1 Does it heats while changing when phone is power off or idle

2 which part it heats more lower part/ upper part

3 Are you using the original charger and cable?

You can try this test: charge the phone on airoplane mode or power off and see if it heats

If it doesn’t not no charging while in airoplane mode or power off then it’s due to some apps are working on background which consume high power. When power increase GPU and CPU load increase. GPU/ CPU load= heat

If it heats on charging then it’s hardware problem because of battery issue or charging issue

I recommend to go again to authorise service centre

Jaikify first of all it dosen’t came back , its there with 4.0 update , with further Security patch, i am happy with camera update and some minor changes

it happen sometime on idle and power off , not much heat ,it normal every device heats while charging a little
upper part in normal usage like instagram, whatapp, youtube music, bro its ok if get little hot , its gets too hot and drain battery to heavely
no i use anker 45 watt charger and original cable

bro its normal sometimes and it bad sometimes, i dont think its hardware problem, its happening to many people

i trust nothing that they cant compromise hardware for some money

My 3a Pro is working great. I can’t wait for the 4.1 update.

My 3a is basically dead to me now since the 4a came out suspiciously the battery life tanked for absolutely zero reason - forced obsolescence? Apps and usage have not changed, but where I could get 10-11 hour SOT I am lucky to get 7-8.

I mainly kept my 3a due to the good battery life, but it’s now on par with my work Samsung S25 which is full of bloat and still gets 7-8 hour SOT with a 4000mah battery in it

It’s gone from 80% to 74% in airplane mode in the space of 12 hours too… clown battery life

SaswataPramanick Ok heating issue normal while chargeing but when it heats more than usual also effect charging then it’s not normal behaviour

AndrewHumphreys nope, there’re a lot of complaints around 4.0 and I’m quite happy with 3.2 and two days of battery life 😄

omaralcayaga1 Sorry to read that mate. I’ve never updated, I usually do it later if no big issues are reported. Since there are lots of problems after 3.2, I’ve decided to keep it until I really see an improvement.

wryd_ys_77 there is a github repository for every ota updates for nothing phones… I can’t directly share a link but you can find it by searching… you might get lower speed or have to use vpn because of china restrictions…

After updating my nothing phone 3(a) to 4.0 build number Asteriods-B4.0-260225-1824. I notice when i charge my phone and leave it on without turning it off, it will dim but will not turn off the screen automatically. I have screen timeout enabled at 30 seconds. No screen saver. Restarted phone but issue still persist.
