I use a Nothing Phone (3a) and I am interested in buying Nothing earbuds, but one concern many users have is losing them. It would be very helpful if Nothing earbuds had built in tracking similar to how some other wireless earbuds can be located on a map.
A feature that allows users to track the earbuds or the charging case directly from the Nothing X app would greatly improve security and peace of mind. For example, showing the last known location on a map, allowing the earbuds or case to play a sound, or integrating with Android’s Find My Device network would make it much easier to recover lost earbuds. Even if full integration with the Nothing X app is not possible, adding support for Google’s Find My Device network would still be very helpful.
Many students and everyday users carry earbuds around school, work, or while travelling, and small devices are easy to misplace. Adding integrated tracking would make Nothing earbuds more competitive and more attractive to people who worry about losing them.
This feature would be especially useful for users who already use Nothing phones and want a more connected ecosystem with better device management and recovery options.
