I recently got the opportunity to spend some time with the Nothing Phone (4a), and I wanted to share my first impressions with you all. These are my early thoughts after using the device for a short time.
📦 Unboxing Experience
The unboxing experience feels very clean and minimal — something Nothing has always done well.
Inside the box you get:
• Nothing Phone (4a)
• USB-C cable
• SIM ejector tool
• Documentation

The packaging feels premium while still maintaining Nothing’s signature minimal aesthetic.
✨ Design & Build
The moment you hold the Nothing Phone (4a), the transparent design immediately stands out.

Some quick observations:
• Clean transparent back panel
• Minimal yet futuristic look
• Comfortable grip
• Lightweight and balanced in hand
It definitely carries the unique Nothing identity that makes the phone instantly recognizable.
📱 Display (First Look)
The display feels smooth and vibrant during everyday usage.
Initial thoughts:
• Bright and sharp visuals
• Smooth scrolling experience
• Good color balance
Watching videos and browsing through apps feels very fluid so far.
📸 Camera – First Shots
As someone who enjoys photography, I was excited to test the camera.
After capturing a few shots, here are my early impressions:
• Natural colors
• Good detail in daylight
• Portrait shots look clean
• Surprisingly good results for moon photography

The phone feels smooth and responsive so far.
• Nothing OS feels clean and minimal
• Animations are smooth
• Apps open quickly
• No unnecessary bloatware
The experience feels very polished.
🔋 Battery (Early Thoughts)
It’s still early to judge battery performance, but the device handled my initial usage comfortably throughout the day.
A full battery test will need more time.

After spending some time with the Nothing Phone (4a), my first impression is very positive.
