I was having a problem on my recently bought (March 16, 2026) new Nothing Phone (3) — unable to receive calls/messages (inbound) nor call/message (outbound) anyone.
Here are my details:
NOTHING OS 4.0
Android 16
Android Security Update (January 1, 2026)
Google Play System Update (February 1, 2026)
Color White
I updated all the apps, cleared some cache here and there, restarted many times, and thought after everything what I’ve done to the phone (customisations, setting preferences , etc.) I need to visit the store again for a new phone….

TLDR;
"Previously, i also faced same problem, but sending my problem to Nothing Support team through phone feedback option and some discussion, my problem was solved.
"Please try the following:
Go to Settings
Security and privacy
Advanced Protection
Disable Device protection
After turning off Device protection, please restart your Nothing Phone and test a call to see if the problem is resolved."
Nothing’s engineers suggest this, and it works.
Also note that i suggested someone for same issue and his problem was solved."
I created this discussion so that if anyone have the same problem as mine before. It can be solved faster without sweating unnecessary steps. This method successfully worked on me and now I’m able to utilize 2 SIM cards (same data/signal provider) without any problems.
