After reading this post I was curious when Nothing Phone 2a would receive the same support for 5ber/esim since it seems like it was rolled out for Phone 2 in the 2.5.6 update. I recently tried inserting a 5ber card into my Phone 2a but it was not recognized by the 5ber app. I was wondering if this is a Nothing support issue or a 5ber support issue. Cheers.

    jchancoding It is a Nothing issue, if you scroll up further you’ll see a statement from one of Nothing’s developers explaining this doesn’t seem to be a quick fix. Pretty sure the 2a will also get support at some point in the future.

    Will there be 5ber esim support for nothing phone 1? Support appeared on np2 in 2.5.6, there is no support on np1 in 2.5.6

    It appears after the Nothing OS 2.5.6 update on the Phone 2, my 5ber card is now detected. So I guess its supported now?

    I want 5ber on NP1 :-( I have update 2.5.6 but still dont recognize the sim.

    @Tom hi. We are waiting for updates to NP2(a) and NP1. It been 1.5 month since last software update 🙁 Any news?

    I received 5ber sim today and found it’s not support on NP2(a) after inserting it into the phone. And I review this thread and find that it’s only support on NP2 not NP2(a) at the moment. Just miss reading this thread. Anyway, wait for updates of 5ber.

      2.6 is not working on 2a. I checked. @Tom why?? Just share NP2 change to other phone 🙁

      It’s sad that 5ber.esim works on all the phones I checked (a dozen or so phones), even on 6- and 7-year-old phones, but it doesn’t work on the Nothing Phone 2a, which is after all for the community. I understand that the phone does not have built-in esim, but if there are solutions that allow you to use esim, why is it not possible in this phone?
      Will one of the software updates change this?

      FYI they are ignoring here and decline to provide any information in X’s DM. I contacted them and they just sent me back their 💩 robotic office-like answers. They can’t explain why they can’t or won’t do same thing for 2A immediately.
