How to turn off a Glyph toy in Phone (4a) Pro? - help

Hi, yesterday I bought my 4a Pro and I need some answers. How to turn off Glyph Toy when I’m using the phone? I thought It will turn off automatically. I’m using the digital clock to see time when I use Flip to Glyph feature, but when I pick up the phone to use it, the clock is there no matter how long I use the phone. I need to manually turn off and on Glyph Matrix in notification panel to clock disappear on the back. I don’t know if this is a feature, but why show clock or a toy on the back when I’m using the phone. This apply to every Toy I set it on. I just want to see the clock or a toy when I flip the phone on the table. What setting I should turn on or off to behave like that? Thank you all for your answers 😌

Hello, bringing this up as I have the exact same issue, I thought that glyph will automatically turn off while phone is unlocked, but it is still active. Does not make any sense if are not looking a the back of the phone.

Yea I expected for it to turn of automatically when the phone is not flipped but doesn’t seem to do that possible bug?

I think that it is a bug (but maybe it is working as intended - not sure) I was trying to play with writing my own glyph tool and was able to manage auto-off functionality for sensor or screen status changes . Never the less I was able to sent a report via Opinions (option available in the system menu) about it, by replicating the behavior and including captured logs for it. Hope that they will do something with it

I have just received information from support team and they have confirmed that this is working as intended, but they have shared that topic with product team for review about future improvement. I think that this topic can be closed now.

DamianLuty having the option to toggle between ALWAYS on and on during flip to glyph would be really nice

I did expect this to be a bug as well. Especially in dark rooms the glyph icon is extremely bright, even on lowest setting. This is annoying enough but it gets pretty embarrassing when you lift your phone and the person across needs to look away to not be blinded…

Thus, I too would appreciate a setting to only activate it (in my case the clock) if the device is lying on the table.

Hopefully they will solve this issue in next update because people cannot use always on glyph toys it needs to turn off when phone is unlocked.
