CMF 1 4.0 OS Fingerprint Calibration location?

Since the last update it has been removed.

While **#*#9#*#* is the diagnostic string to enter, fingerprint calibration can no longer be found there since the 4.0 OS update. I called customer service when I was unable to find it and according to customer service it has been removed and devices now need to be sent to a customer service center. I will most likely be downgrading my OS just to calibrate my fingerprint sensor… its a little overboard but I’d rather not lose my phones for days/weeks.

Does anyone has experience with this while using OS 4.0?*

ScottH yup…i also noticed that… i tried fingerprint calibration but it didn’t give results as intended…maybe i was doing it wrong… and fingerprint scanner works perfectly fine on my cmf ph1 after nos3… if my thumb is sweat free then it unlocks in just one tap👌🏻

Jaikify 🇮🇳 nope… op is saying about a perticular menu/setting for calibrating fingerprint scanner… its mentioned in first line of the post👍🏻

Jaikify 🇮🇳 even with the screen protector off and after wiping the screen with rubbing alcohol it is not registering. Maybe the screen calibration got screwed up during an OS upgrade. Maybe My first choice is to backup and facTory reset the phone.

JP Correct, there is no fingerprint calibration setting to be found whatsoever. The update to OS 4.0 removed it.

JP After customer service told me this feature is no longer available, I responded fairly harshly and told them I am not accepting their requirement of sending a phone to customer service just for a fingerprint calibration the replied with the correct method on OS 4.0 for full calibration settings.

1. Enter *#*#9#*#* on the keypad
2. Click “get started”
3. Tap the rear cmf1 “icon” 10 times.
4. type “nothing” into the prompt
5. Scroll down and choose “touch & input controls”
6. Choose “fingerprint info”
7. Choose which fingerprint test / calibration you’d like to perform

ScottH ohh…thanks for the info…calibration never worked for me… unknown error on the 3rd step ..

And auto calibration works fine for me👌🏻

ScottH nahh…less than 1 sec with 90%+ accuracy with auto cal is good… 🤷🏻 that too for optical one…

And btw you never answered my question… “did you managed to make it better?”

JP my issue had nothing to do with making the sensor work faster. My fingerprint sensor did not work at all.

This is why I did not respond to your previous questions, it had nothing to do with my type of issue.
