I’m fed up with the background idle drain on my Phone (4a) Pro.
Despite setting apps to “Restricted” battery usage, background processes refuse to go to sleep. Apps like Google Play Services, Sonos, and Nothing Launcher log 8 to 11+ hours of continuous background activity while the phone is locked.
I’m losing roughly 50% battery in just 2 to 3 hours with minimal screen-on time. It feels like Doze mode or standard background process suspension is completely broken on Nothing OS compared to other Android skins like Samsung’s One UI, which actually force-freeze apps.
Is anyone else experiencing apps ignoring restricted background rules, or is there a known fix for these persistent background wake-locks?
