Here is my final review with the Nothing Phone (4a).
Well, I’ve been a big fan of Nothing for a while. Last year I got my Nothing Phone 3a Pro and that’s where my journey started. This time I got the opportunity to experience and create with the Nothing Phone (4a).
DESIGN

The design of the Nothing Phone (4a) stands out with its signature transparent back and futuristic industrial aesthetic. The exposed components, clean lines, and pill-shaped aluminium camera bar give it a distinctive identity that feels both minimal and premium. The new Glyph Bar with mini-LED lighting adds a unique visual element while also serving functional notifications.
Overall, the design blends creativity with practicality, making the Nothing Phone (4a) one of the most visually unique smartphones in its segment.
OPERATING SYSTEM
The Nothing OS 4.1 is surprisingly smooth and well optimised. The animations are fluid and the integrations are solid. I like the improvements in the gallery app. It now allows object removal, some cool watermark you could apply afterwards. The Glyph bar feels less intrusive but still provides good utility with the notifications, timer, camera countdown. You also get a blinking red light indicator at the bottom which turns on while recording videos. Facebook and Instagram come pre-installed but you can uninstall it. There is a new widget called breathing break which I absolutely like which helps us get back to reality and I find myself using it quite often. Also, the depth effect wallpaper is now available on the lock screen. Overall the software is smooth, clean and purposeful.
BATTERY & PERFORMANCE
The battery is a whopping 5080mAh cell for the global market and even larger at 5400mAh for Indial This can be charged up at 50W for wired charging, going from 1% to 100% in just over an hour! In my usage, which I would describe as medium to heavy usage, I was easily getting a day and a half out of the battery and almost 8 hours of Screen on Time.
CAMERA
Here is my expertise, the main sensor captures sharp and detailed photos, while the telephoto lens adds versatility with zoom shots. Over time, the camera proves to be reliable in different lighting conditions, making it a solid choice for everyday photography and content creation.

MY FINAL VERDICT
Overall, the Nothing Phone (4a) offers a balanced package of performance, design, and camera quality. For users who appreciate a clean UI and creative camera tools, it is a compelling and distinctive choice in the mid-range smartphone category.
